Our Story
Curvasia began with a simple conversation.
A close friend of mine, who is a plus-size model and entrepreneur, shared the everyday challenges she and her customers often faced. Finding fashionable clothing that truly fit wasn't always easy. Reliable shopping recommendations were scattered across different social media platforms. Helpful advice existed, but discovering it often meant searching through countless posts, groups, and conversations.
That conversation sparked a simple question:
Why isn't there a dedicated destination for Malaysia's plus-size community?
As I researched further, I discovered something surprising. Malaysia has a large and vibrant plus-size community, yet there wasn't a single platform dedicated to bringing together fashion, shopping, lifestyle content, trusted recommendations, and meaningful conversations in one place.
People were already sharing experiences across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, WhatsApp, and many other platforms. But everything was fragmented.
There was no central destination focused entirely on helping Malaysia's plus-size community discover products, share experiences, and connect with confidence.
So I decided to build one.
Why "Curvasia"?
The name Curvasia combines two words:
Curvy + Malaysia
It reflects both our roots and our mission: creating a trusted destination built specifically for Malaysia's plus-size community while celebrating confidence, style, inclusivity, and self-expression.
But the vision doesn't stop there.
As Curvasia grows, we hope to welcome neighbouring communities across Singapore, Brunei, and eventually Southeast Asia, becoming a trusted destination for plus-size fashion, shopping, and lifestyle throughout the region.
